watch now! detail...

i'm meinkopt and i bring you today a new painting guide greetings wargamers and players, welcome to miniaturewar in this case i'm going to show you how to paint a chaos sorcerer lord. the miniature is not completely glued i preffer to keep the head and the sword appart, so we can paint them better. for the golden tones, we're going to use three colors balthasar gold, gehenna gold and auric armor gold. we start giving the base layer to the golden parts we use a brush that will let us paint firmly

and we shall apply balthazar gold to all the zones that we want with gold once dried the base layer we proceed to give it a wash with agrax eartshade to all the golden zones . remember do not use to a lot of tint with the tint dried we shall start with the first light we're going to use gehenna gold, mixed with a little of balthazar gold so we can create a soft transition to light apply it with solft brushstrokes and always diluted the painting

we're not searching for the dry brush effect now we're going to apply gehenna gold without mixing using the same technique than before now we shall do the strong lights mixing auric armor gold with gehenna gold so we can maintain this soft transition with each light we shall apply less and less paint to the surface and always emphasize the stand out zones of the miniature now for the last part we're going to apply the final light

mixing auric armor gold, with ironbraker and apply the last parts that stand out and the edges of the golden zones with the gold ready, we shall now do the other parts of the amor for this we're going to use the silver metalics colors. we start mixing boltgun metal with abaddon black, for the base layer once dry, we apply the tint null oil to all the metallic zones that we just painted carefully that the tint don't stain the golden zones that are already finished. now we apply some soft strokes with the brush with pure boltgun metal but we shall do it without covering all the surface and always trying to do a scraping effect the brush will be with diluited paint, we are not trying to make the dry brush effect

with agrax earthshade we make a dirt effect to the metals we shall try to apply it in the silver zones and not stain any golden ones. for the last light we're going to apply ironbraker in soft and shorts brushstrokes so the wear effect it's soft with the metals finished now it's time to start with the black tones that the figure have in this case it would be the fabric and the cane

for this i used the range of blacks from andre color so we can create the right transition from black to a lighter color for the lights, we shall lighten the black trying to give shape to the fabric that we're painting doing this it will be the lights for the contour of the figure now we're going to paint the symbols and the demonic eyes of the figure we are going to use degrade the turquoise, from dark to light. for the eyes, each lighter tone will have a softer and fine laterals brushstrokes in this way we're going to create a good effect to the iris of the eye.

for the belt, we used a mix of steel legion drab with abaddon black going along the edge with pure steel legion drab. to give the filth effect to the clothes of the figure we can use any kind of brown tone and with soft scrappings in the inferior edges and degrading up, we shall get a good effect for the sheath of the sword i used a mix of dark flesh with rinox hide creating a degrade effect to pure dark flesh for the final light for the head, that you can see that it's separated so we can paint it well i used for the base the black from andrea that i used for the fabric and from there

i started to mix it with pallid wych flesh lightening the mix radically very carefully and with a little brush we shall create the outline of the face with different tones of color for the eyes i used red vermillon from vallejo, and a little yellow point and that's it, this is the final result one way of fast painting this chaos character and have it ready in less than two hours so you can add it to your army i hope that you liked this painting guide and give it a like that always help suscribe if you are not, and we'll bring you more painting guides soon. till then!
