watch now! detail...

hi i'm susana from pink & fun and today i'll make a valentine's day card i'll need cardstock with 30 cm x 15 cm now i'll fold it in half and for that i'll make a mark at 15 cm and score i always need to mark first because my scoreboard is in inches and when i want to use centimeters

i need to do this way round the corners at 1/4 inch cut the scrapbooking paper with 1 cm less, to leave a narrow border so, if the card base measures 15 cm x 15 cm, i'll cut the scrapbooking paper with 14 cm x 14 cm round the corners at 1/4 inch and ink the edges color "sea breeze" (from versamagic)

attach it to the card i 'm using liquid glue because for me it's easier because it allows me to move a little bit and place it correctly so, this is the my card base for the next step i will use white cardstock with 26 x 11 cm make a mark at 8 cm then put the ruler in the 8 cm and mark again at 8,3 cm

starting in the 8,3 cm, mark at 8,3 cm again 8 cm from here to here => 8,3 cm and will remain 1,5 cm delete the pencil marks and fold i'll have this: 8,3 cm and a flap with 1,5 cm

i've cut also 2 pieces of the same cardstock than the base with 7,5 cm x 10,5 cm corners rounded at 1/4 inch i've also cut 2 pieces of scrapbooking paper with 7 cm x 10 cm and round the corners now i will ink the edges

and stick them to the cardstock i will use a plastic cover cut a strip with about 3,5 cm i will cut and i will left with a long strip of plastic it can also be used a plastic bag now, i'm just going to place the plastic with double-sided tape

i will cut a small piece no longer than the plastic strip width and i will stick to the edge of the plastic strip i will remove the protection and with the glue upwards (don't stick anything in the cardstock) i will surround the paper with the plastic and attach to the double sided tape without leaving too tight nor too wide but the enough to move

and i will cut off the excess now i'll attach this 2 cards in here then in this one... i will assume that this one, next to the flap, is the front so if this the front and this will be folded this one must be faced to the front and i'll stick it in here

but i will stick it on the plastic and never on the cardboard for that reason the tape width should be equal or minor than the plastic my plastic strip has a small crease and i will put double-sided tape upon this crease to force it to get stretched and not arrest the movements so i'll put the tape above the crease only at the plastic attach the card to that small piece of double sided tape now i will open

and do the same at this side. put some double sided tape but instead of being below i'll paste it on top and turned down now, adhere the flap with double-sided tape and attach it, inserting it behind the card to paste

to the cardstock now, i will paste here a photo with a love and i'll cut it to paste here and use a frame type "polaroid" to put over here i will use the frame center as a template

to cut the photo draw leaving a border so that i can stick here behind and i will stick the frame to the photo ink the edges and attach i'll use some letters i and you now i will also use an eyelet

and i will put it here make a hole now i'll paste it here to my card i will also use some thread cut 1 or 2 hearts from the scrapbooking paper use them to embelish and apply some glossy accents (3d glue) above and it's ready, now just need to dry

and here is my suggestion for the valentine's day this year! i hope you enjoyed this project thank you for watching this video and see you next time!
